We believe in a firm foundation for language development that utilizes engagement, child-led play, books, and support for the parent-child dyad. Child therapy is based on family priority, medical necessity, and evidence-based practices all while respecting a child's natural love for learning through play.
Speciaizing in developmental disabilities that affect communication, including apraxia, dysarthria, phonological disorders, pragmatic language, receptive language, expressive language, written language, and augmentative-alternative communication. Our therapists have extensive training and experience working with children with autism, down's syndrome, cerebral palsy, cortical visual impairment, and a variety of rare syndromes and genetic disorders.
We use an episodic model of therapy which offers a definitive start and stop date of focused and skilled intervention. With multiple bursts of family-centered and goal-focused intervention with session breaks, focus and progress can improve. Episodic bursts are approximately 8 weeks long. This will allow you and your child to recover from the intensity of therapy services that often comes with raising a child with special needs. It will also decrease the wait time for other children needing services.
