We believe in a firm foundation for language development that utilizes engagement, child-led play, books, and support for the parent-child dyad. Child therapy is based on family priority, medical necessity, and evidence-based practices all while respecting a child's natural love for learning through play.

One Assessment. One Parent Interview. And One Highly Skilled Team of Professionals.
Our team, which includes a social worker, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, and developmental therapist, completes a comprehensive evaluation for your child in a single afternoon. Using play-based techniques, parent interviews, and formal and informal assessment tools, we provide families with a comprehensive framework about their child's unique development. This assessment technique uses a child's natural emotions and interests to identify how social, emotional, motor, communication and intellectual capacities work together. We use this information to construct recommendations that are centered on the unique developmental needs of your child.
Understanding the Child through a Developmental Lens
Child's Nature creates individualized programs that focus on the social-cognitive development of neurodivergent children and young adults. We focus on skills involving developmental capacities as related to relationships, communication, socialization, regulation, and imagination using the individual strengths and interests of our clients.

Complex developmental disorders often include complex behavior that impacts the entire family. Our licensed clinical social worker meets with families in their homes or at the clinic to discuss concerns and solutions related to behavior struggles and coping skills. Family-focused treatment plans are designed, taught, and supported to ensure successful behavior across a variety of settings.

We have presented at state, national and international conventions on various topics related to language development, disorders, and augmentative-alternative communication.
As much as we love the big conventions, we are most happy when we can collaborate and provide specialized professional development to local schools, daycares, parent organizations, and families.
